BCPP Chapter leadership
As the BCPP continues to mature into an important political vehicle to chart a new course for British
Columbia’s future, the importance of grassroots participation cannot be underestimated. The creation
of political chapters is needed to form a place where British Columbians can get into the conversation.
These chapters will not only allow for our message to be explained to the average British Columbian, but
will also be the place where people’s legitimate concerns can be voiced and new ideas and strategies
can be shaped. The vital component for the success of these Chapters must be the leadership of the
Chapter and importance of these leaders cannot be underestimated.
All leaders must be vetted by the BCPP to ensure that the right people are selected for this position but
these leaders will be encouraged to see their positions as starting points in their personal journey for
political empowerment. British Columbia needs a new breed of political activism to map out a new
course for British Columbia’s future and BCPP encourages the involvement of those who want to be part
of the political reinvention of British Columbia.
British Columbia is at a crossroads where its citizens are feeling both concerned and helpless. We need
to become a beacon of hope for our friends, family and neighbours who are looking for something to
give them optimism. That is our first, and most important goal.
